This blog will serve as a space for me to share thoughts, reflections and updates from my work in maritime musicology. I’ll be posting reviews of events I’ve attended - conferences, concerts, exhibitions, and more - as well as short pieces on aspects of my research that I think deserve a wider audience. Occasionally, I’ll also highlight upcoming events that may be of interest to those working in or around maritime music, sound studies or cultural history. Not everything here will be polished or fully formed. Some posts will be fragments, questions, or provisional ideas - things I’m still thinking through. Others will be more reflective, responding to conversations I’ve had, music I’ve heard, or archives I’ve explored. My hope is that this blog becomes a living part of my work: a place to test ideas, trace connections, and share the bits that might otherwise get lost between publications.
